About the Role

Senior Consultant at Deloitte Consulting within the Actuarial and Insurance Solutions (AIS) practice under the Human Capital offering. You will design, develop, and deploy enterprise-scale solutions and lead client engagement teams. Your role spans the full project lifecycle, including estimation, planning, execution, and tracking key metrics, with responsibility for independently guiding and mentoring junior team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Support transformation and migration projects, consulting engagements, and audit work by applying US GAAP, STAT, TAX, IFRS 17, and LDTI regulations
• Develop or modify actuarial tools that validate various financial cash flows and results generated by life insurance companies
• Work on GGY/Moody's Axis modelling projects
• Manage transformation/migration from one actuarial software to another
• Build/modify Excel spreadsheets and actuarial software to project and validate cashflows generated by models
• Apply US GAAP, STAT, TAX, IFRS 17, and LDTI regulations to products for calculating reserves and other cashflows
• Work on Prophet, GGY/Moody's Axis, Polysystems, or Moses actuarial models
• Interpret assumptions and experience studies results of insurance companies
• Lead projects with minimal support from project managers
• Train, mentor, and motivate junior staff
• Bridge knowledge gaps within the team and provide overall perspective
• Develop and maintain client and internal relationships

Requirements

Must Have: 3–9 years of hands-on experience in life insurance actuarial domain; excellent verbal and written communication skills; consulting mindset with willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing business environments; excellent problem-solving and client service skills; proven project and people management capabilities; willingness and ability to travel to meet client needs; good understanding of cashflow projection methodologies for life insurance products; good understanding of concepts, regulations, and guidelines and their application to multiple projects; strong product knowledge (specifically US products) with experience in Pricing, Valuation, or Reporting.

Good to Have: Experience in GGY/Moody's AXIS Modelling; experience in software migration; advanced knowledge and experience in actuarial software including AXIS, Prophet, Moses; strong experience in Reinsurance valuation, modelling, or reporting; strong experience of US GAAP, US STAT, or LDTI; strong US Product knowledge, specifically in FIA, with experience in Reserving, Valuation, or Reporting; strong life actuarial technical skills with strong consulting mindset and excellent communication skills to work with multiple clients.

Qualifications

Graduation or Post Graduation with mathematics, statistics, or any subject with sizeable mathematical content.
