What is an actuary, and could it be you?
An actuary is a financial risk expert. Using maths, probability and data, actuaries answer questions like "how much should this insurance policy cost?" or "will this pension fund have enough money in 40 years?" Actuaries put a dependable price on things that have not happened yet. You don't need a specific degree: you qualify by passing professional exams, one paper at a time, while you study or work.
