Actuarial - Life Insurance (Financial Services) Consultant/Senior Consultant, Risk Consulting

About the Role

As part of EY's life actuarial team, you will focus on high-impact opportunities applying your knowledge and experience to shape actuarial services. You will build valuable relationships with clients and develop strong capabilities through formal training, mentorship from senior actuaries, and collaboration with talented colleagues. You will be at the forefront of issues shaping the insurance industry in Asia with exposure to a diverse range of actuarial projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist and lead delivery of client engagements relating to IFRS 17, Appointed Actuary work, actuarial valuation, pricing and product development
• Support actuarial modelling, Merger & Acquisitions (M&A) and due diligence projects
• Perform evaluation in areas related to financial risk, product distribution and capital issues
• Work with advanced financial modelling approaches and systems, including designing valuation and Asset Liability Management (ALM) frameworks
• Lead or work as part of project teams on client engagements

Requirements

• Bachelor degree in Actuarial Science or relevant discipline
• Newly or Nearly qualified with either the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (IFoA/UK), the Society of Actuaries (SOA/US) or the Institute of Actuaries of Australia (IAA)
• Good knowledge of Prophet software
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Good understanding of economic or market issues and ability to interpret their impact on clients
• Strong interpersonal and teaming skills
• Strong analytical and creative skills

Qualifications

Ideally, you will have depth of experience in at least one of the following areas: financial modelling, financial and regulatory reporting, product and distribution strategy, ERM/Solvency II, or M&A due diligence.
